If you've been piecing it all together alone — you don't have to anymore.

Collabor8tive Consulting is a North Carolina-based partner for nonprofits, direct service providers, and community organizations ready to move from surviving to building something that actually holds.

The Reality

Most NC organizations doing real community work face the same set of problems.

  • Grants that don't connect to a larger strategy
  • Partnerships that exist on paper but don't move anything
  • Programs doing meaningful work with no infrastructure underneath them
  • Decisions that have to happen fast with no one to think them through with you

You didn't get into this work to manage fragmentation. But that's often what it becomes.

How We Work

NC-based. Systems-focused. Implementation-obsessed.

We work alongside organizations to build what makes everything else possible — funding strategy, operational clarity, coordination systems, and partnerships that hold when the pressure is on.

We know this landscape. The funders. The coalitions. The gaps. The realities that don't show up in grant applications but determine whether programs survive.

We're not here to hand you a report and disappear. We're here to help you build something that works after we're gone.

Proof of Work

This is what implementation-focused looks like.

  • Secured and managed $500K+ in concurrent federal funding for older adult programs in North Carolina
  • Wrote the first fall prevention grant ever awarded to the High Country — now the foundation of the Aging Well Program at Appalachian State University's Institute
  • Developed a 1:1 caregiver support model — including home safety equipment, resource coordination, and end-of-life planning — when every other region was running a standard respite program
  • The standards from that caregiver work are now used statewide for North Carolina's Family Caregiver Support Program
  • Built programs that outlasted the consulting — because the infrastructure was designed to hold.
